Welcome, Rubens Oliveira Santos, ELAP Scholar

The History Department welcomes Rubens Oliveira Santos, who will be here through the end of June as a visiting doctoral student and recipient of an Emerging Leaders of the Americas Program scholarship from Global Affairs Canada. Rubens is completing his doctorate at El Colegio de México, and will be working at UCalgary under the supervision of Dr. Amelia M. Kiddle on his thesis “From the City Between Rivers Through a Metropolis of Hidden Flows. A study of Mexico City and its Rivers, 1870-1970” which is an environmental history of water in Mexico City.
