What Will Be the Impact of My Gift?
Heart disease kills more women than all cancers combined annually. Early heart attack signs in women are often different to those of men frequently leading to the misinterpretation of symptoms and resulting in missed diagnosis. The Libin Cardiovascular Institute is tackling gaps in women’s cardiovascular research and care with the Women’s Cardiovascular Health Initiative. But we are looking to do more. With your help, we can establish scholarships to attract top students; develop research grants to test new, innovative research ideas; and further our awareness work to provide more women with lifesaving information and care.
Medicine is often a one-size-fits-all approach, but patients have unique, individualized needs. The Precision Medicine Initiative is tackling this issue head on. We are raising money for scholarships, grants and personnel to support research and innovation with the goal of customizing care to meet the individual needs of our patients.
Innovations and improvements in clinical care positively impact all cardiovascular patients. The Libin Cardiovascular Institute is working to provide patients with tomorrow’s health today by accelerating the speed of health-care innovation. But we need your help. We are establishing an innovation fund to enable our members to conduct life-changing clinical research and develop clinical programs aimed at improving care and outcomes for patients affected by cardiovascular disease.
Although cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer globally for both men and women, 80 per cent of is preventable through a healthy lifestyle. The Libin Cardiovascular Institute is working hard to find the right solutions for the right patients at the right time, but we can’t do it alone. Help us raise funds for scholarships, grants and for our community outreach programs and help us open doors for cardiovascular health.
