Biography
Dr. Dan Zuege is a Clinical Professor of Critical Care Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. He received his M.D. from the University of Alberta and his MSc (Respiratory Physiology) and specialty training in internal, respiratory and critical care medicine at the University of Calgary. He is the Senior Medical Director for the Critical Care Strategic Clinical Network. He was the founding Medical Director for the eCritical Alberta Program, which operates a province-wide critical care clinical information system implemented in all adult, pediatric and cardiac and some neonatal critical care units in Alberta. He was the Medical Director for the ICU at the Peter Lougheed Centre from 2001 to 2012 and the Medical Director for the Southern Alberta Organ and Tissue Donation Program from 2003 to 2010.
His research interests and prior endeavors have focused on ICU-related infections and the assessment and application of technology and informatics resources to better understand the disease states of the critically ill.
