Calgary Institute for the Humanities Fellows Announce Double Book Launch

Uchechukwu Umezurike and Anna Veprinska to launch new poetry books at Shelf Life Books May 14

CIH McCready Emerging Fellows Uchechukwu Umezurike (2025-2026) and Anna Veprinska (2024-2025) will be jointly launching their new poetry collections at Shelf Life Books in Calgary on May 14 at 7:00p.m. The launch for We Survived Until We Could Live by Uchechukwu Peter Umezurike and Wound Archive by Anna Veprinska will consist of readings by each author, followed by a conversation with Micheline Maylor-Kovitz, the City of Calgary’s former poet laureate, and a Q&A.
