Congratulations to Dr. Jürgen Meisel

Please join us in congratulating Jürgen Meisel, Professor emeritus and former Chair of the Research Centre on Bilingualism at the Universität Hamburg, as well as former Distinguished Fellow at the Language Research Centre and current Adjunct Professor of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, University of Calgary. Dr. Meisel has been awarded the Wilhelm von Humboldt Prize for outstanding career achievements by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sprachwissenschaft (aka the German Linguistic Society).

This prestigious honour is only given out every two years. It will be awarded at the next meeting of the DGfS in Hamburg 4-6th March 2020. On this occasion Dr. Meisel will also be giving a plenary address.
