The Electrophysiology Subspecialty Training Program is two years in duration, and consists of six months EP lab, four months device implants, four months wards/consults service, two months device clinics/consults service, four months research, two months elective, two months holidays and longitudinal EP Fellows Clinic during the two year program.
The focus of our the program is highly academic. Accordingly, it is expected that you would be involved in at least one research project. There are a number of research opportunities that include clinical research projects involving either pacing or ICDs. As well, our experimental electrophysiology research program is extremely active ranging from molecular biology of ion channels to chronic monitoring in animals with hypertrophy or heart failure.
